Tunis - the capital
The activities of the Arab Radio and Television Festival were launched in Tunisia with a large Arab presence, including about 500 guests, including senior media professionals and creatives. Most of the events are held in the Tunisian city of Hammamet to provide a tourist dimension that stimulates economic activity and highlights the country's tourism potential, with the Carthage Archaeological Theater hosting the diverse public opening ceremony.
An artistic program and honors for screen creators
The opening ceremony will witness a joint singing performance between Syrian artist Nassif Zaitoun and Iraqi artist Rahma Riad, in addition to honoring 12 Arab creators, including Tunisian actress Latifa Al Qafsi and Egyptian actor Mohamed Tharwat. In this context, Imad Qatata, Communications and Media Officer at the Arab States Broadcasting Union, highlighted the tourism and organizational importance of this session, saying: “The experience of moving most of the activities to Hammamet, which began last year, was met with great approval from the guests, as it gives the festival a touristic dimension that contributes to revitalizing the tourism movement and allows guests to discover Tunisian tourist destinations.”
Musical performances and closing at the Opera Theater
The festival concludes at the Opera Theater in the City of Culture by announcing the winners of radio and television competitions, in addition to the exclusive musical show “Travel to You and Sing” with the participation of 6 singers from 6 Arab countries and an orchestra that includes 65 musicians. This event embodies a fruitful partnership between the Arab States Broadcasting Union and Tunisian cultural and media institutions.
Promising opportunities for Arab tourism and investment
The festival represents an exceptional window for Arab travelers and investors to discover Tunisia’s capabilities in the field of festival tourism and major events. Holding activities between Carthage and Hammamet opens new horizons for Arab capital to promote the hospitality and entertainment sectors, benefiting from the extensive media coverage and Arab and regional momentum surrounding this prominent event.
