Amman-Jordan
The Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature and the Eco-Hotels Company celebrated the reopening of “Wild Jordan House” in Jabal Amman in its new look, under the patronage of the Head of the Royal Hashemite Court, Yousef Hassan Al-Issawi.
This step comes to consolidate the association’s presence in the eco-tourism and sustainable hospitality sectors, and to revive one of the most prominent direct landmarks overlooking the historic Citadel Mountain.
Hotel rooms, “Jer” restaurant, and nature shop
The site witnessed a comprehensive renovation, which includes the “Jeer” restaurant with five diverse spaces that serve traditional Omani dishes in a modern style, in addition to five hotel rooms, and three halls designated for meetings and events.
The opening also included the "Nature Shop" dedicated to displaying handicrafts and products made by women of local communities near Jordanian nature reserves, such as natural soap, ceramic and textile pieces.
Impacts on the local economy and sustainability
This integrated project contributes to supporting nature protection programs by utilizing sustainable hospitality revenues for the benefit of environmental projects.
The initiative also supports the retail economy and handicrafts by linking economic development with environmental preservation, which raises the attractiveness of Oman as a tourist and cultural destination that combines high-end hospitality, environmental heritage protection, and empowerment of productive families.
