Cairo - Egypt
The Cairo Opera House announced the completion of the design and launch of the official advertising poster for the thirty-fourth session of the Arab Music Festival and Conference, which is scheduled to be held during the period from 20 to 30 October 2026, under the patronage of Dr. Abdel Aziz Qansoua, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Culture, and headed by Dr. Reda El-Wakil. The new session is dedicated to the spirit of the Prince of Arab Singing, Hani Shaker, in appreciation of his artistic career and contributions to the process of Arab singing.
Violin and Arabic calligraphy in one visual identity
The official design of the poster relied on the violin as the main visual element, as it appears in a prominent space around which the visual identity of the new session is gathered, with artistic treatment in warm colors in contrast to dark spaces that give it a clear presence. The presence of the violin was not limited to being a musical instrument, but rather it became an essential element in building the identity of the event, reflecting the symbolic value of musical instruments in shaping the Arab conscience.
Signed by the Graphic Department of the Opera House
The poster bears the signature of the Graphic Department of the Cairo Opera House, through designers Ihab Abdel Aziz and Mustafa Abdel Moneim, who presented a visual treatment that seeks to formulate a contemporary identity for the new session while maintaining its connection to the roots of Arabic music. An image of the Egyptian Opera House building appears at the bottom of the design, adding a clear institutional dimension and linking the event to the place that hosts it.
Hani Shaker is present in the new session
Hani Shaker is considered one of the most prominent names in the history of Egyptian and Arab singing, and his artistic career extended over decades during which he presented many songs and concerts that connected with a wide audience in Egypt and the Arab world. It is expected that dedicating the course to his soul will represent a prominent aspect of the general identity of the new edition, in conjunction with the celebration of Arabic music, its history, and its most prominent symbols, in a gesture that gives the course a human and artistic dimension.
A program that combines art and science
The course is scheduled to include a variety of events, including concerts and singing, in addition to playing and singing competitions, as well as research and scientific events related to the conference, in a vision that combines the artistic and scientific aspects, so that the course is not limited to concerts, but rather extends to research, study, documentation, and talent discovery.
What does this course mean for Arab tourists?
The Arab tourist finds in the Arab Music Festival and Conference an opportunity to combine enjoyment of art and cultural discovery, as it allows him to attend concerts that celebrate the Arab musical heritage, and learn about artistic and research experiences from multiple countries, in addition to visiting Cairo at a time when there is an active artistic and cultural movement. Dedicating the session to the spirit of Hani Shaker gives the event a special emotional value for the Gulf and Arab audience who have been associated with his works, which makes the festival a suitable stop for lovers of Arabic music and those looking for an integrated cultural tourism experience in the Egyptian capital.
