Riyadh - Saudi Arabia
The air connectivity program signed a cooperation agreement with the American airline Delta, on the sidelines of the World Travel Market (WTM), in a step aimed at enhancing direct air connectivity between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America, and expanding the network of international destinations linked to the Kingdom.
A new route connects the capital with the largest American aviation hub
The agreement aims to launch direct flights between the cities of Atlanta and Riyadh, which will enhance ease of access to the Kingdom from the American market, and expand travel options for visitors and travelers between the two countries. The new route is expected to provide more than 85,000 seats annually, round-trip, using Airbus A350 aircraft.
Cooperation that reflects growing confidence in the Saudi market
The agreement comes within the framework of the Air Connectivity Program’s efforts to expand the Kingdom’s international connectivity network, attract international airlines, and develop direct air routes with priority markets, thus enhancing the growth of the tourism sector and the arrival of international visitors to the Kingdom’s various destinations, and consolidating its position as a global tourist destination.
What does this path mean for the Arab tourist and investor?
The new line opens wide horizons for travelers from the Gulf countries and the Arab world, as it allows them to reach more than 150 American cities through one station in Atlanta, facilitating business, investment and tourism trips. The path also enhances the opportunities for Arab investors to access American markets, and supports trade exchange between the region and the United States, in light of Riyadh’s growing status as a regional economic center.
