Riyadh - Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia has entered strongly into the global yacht tourism market, taking advantage of the Red Sea coast extending for more than 1,800 kilometers, and its islands, coral reefs, luxury resorts, and advanced marinas, in a trend that aims to transform high-end marine tourism into one of the paths of tourism investment and diversify the tourism product in the Kingdom.

Monaco...the Kingdom's window to the world

During the Saudi Tourism Authority’s participation in the Monaco Yacht Show 2026, the Kingdom’s maritime capabilities were reviewed, starting from Jeddah all the way to the Red Sea destination and Amala, which includes more than 90 natural islands, in addition to warm waters throughout the year, various marine experiences, and services targeting yacht owners, charterers, and operators.

Marinas...from a marine structure to an investment asset
The Jeddah Yacht Club and Marina includes 94 berths capable of receiving yachts up to 120 meters in length, while Shura Marina and Amala Yacht Club are preparing to expand marine capacity, with 278 berths available for private and charter yachts starting from the 2026 Saudi winter season, under a unified mooring contract. Although specific prices for mooring or accommodation have not been announced as part of participation in the exhibition, the standardization of mooring contracts and the expansion of the mooring network represent two important factors for investors and operators, because the clarity of booking procedures and services increases the ability to plan cruises and enhances the destination’s ability to attract yachts for longer periods.

An integrated system, not just beaches
A number of entities and companies working in tourism, hospitality and marine services participated in the Kingdom’s pavilion, including the Saudi Red Sea Authority, the Red Sea International Company, AMAALA, and the Jeddah Yacht and Marina Club, in addition to companies specializing in yachts and marine services. Participation in Monaco reveals that the competition is no longer just about having beautiful beaches, but rather about building an integrated system capable of providing a luxurious experience for the yacht owner, the guest and the operator at the same time. The Kingdom is preparing to host the Red Sea Yacht Show at the Jeddah Yacht Club and Marina during the period from October 14 to 17, 2027, in a step that strengthens its international presence and gives investors, yacht manufacturers and brokers a new opportunity to discover the Saudi market.

Why is yacht tourism important to Arab tourists and investors?
Yacht tourism gains special importance from the perspective of tourist spending, as the trip is not only linked to docking, but extends to luxury hotel accommodation, restaurants, entertainment, shopping, maintenance, catering, transportation, and marine services, which makes every yacht that enters the destination a starting point for a series of economic activities. Thus, Saudi marinas are transformed from a marine infrastructure into a tourist and investment asset, while yacht tourism gives the Kingdom a high-value product that can support hotels, resorts, and marine services and raise the average tourist spending on the Red Sea coast. This opens up promising opportunities for the Arab investor in the sectors of hospitality, maintenance, catering, and marina management, and gives the Arab tourist a luxurious marine experience nearby that combines pristine nature and international services.
