Riyadh - Saudi Arabia
As of September 20, 2026, Air Arabia will officially begin operating its domestic flights from King Fahd International Airport in Dammam to three main destinations, including Riyadh, Jeddah, and Medina. This step comes after the consortium led by the group - which includes the “Nesma” and “Ken Holding” groups with a Saudi majority - obtained the air operator certificate (AOC) from the General Authority of Civil Aviation, paving the way for a new phase of operational expansion in the eastern region.
An extensive operational schedule and comprehensive air connectivity
The carrier's operational program includes operating two daily flights from Dammam to Riyadh and Jeddah, in addition to a regular daily flight to Medina. Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, stressed that this launch constitutes a strategic milestone to expand economic travel options.
Promising gains for Arab tourists and investors
This expansion gives Arab tourists and visitors flexible and economical travel options to move between the Saudi capital, the Holy Sites, and the Eastern Province easily and at a reasonable cost. On the investment level, increasing air connectivity contributes to reviving commercial and tourism traffic in the Eastern Region, and opens broad horizons for the private sector to invest in the fields of hospitality, logistics services, and tourism activities accompanying economic aviation activity.
