Cairo-Egypt

The 33rd session of the Cairo Experimental Theater Festival kicked off in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, which continues until September 8 with the participation of an elite group of artists, directors, and critics.

The festival's official competition witnesses competition between 15 theatrical performances representing 13 countries, including the Saudi theatrical show "Al-Naashoon", which presents avant-garde and innovative artistic visions.

Training workshops and intellectual seminars to exchange experiences

The festival includes organizing 7 specialized training workshops that combine theory and practical application to enable participants to acquire contemporary theater tools.

On the sidelines of the event, a number of intellectual seminars will be held that discuss issues of renewal, in addition to honoring pioneers of theatrical art to celebrate their creative contributions to developing the cultural scene.

Implications for event tourism and the hospitality economy

The festival contributes to stimulating event and conference tourism (MICE) in the Arab Republic of Egypt, by increasing tourist flows and international travel to Cairo.

The public and artistic demand for theatrical performances also helps in raising the efficiency of hotel operation, revitalizing the retail and hospitality sectors, and consolidating the region’s position as a global cultural and artistic center of attraction.
