Riyadh - Saudi Arabia
The city of Qiddiya, a global destination for entertainment, sports and culture, announced the signing of memorandums of understanding with five leading companies in the travel and tourism sector, in a step aimed at expanding the network of strategic partnerships and enhancing the city’s readiness to receive visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom.
The agreements included Al Fares International Travel and Tourism Company, Destination Solutions Travel and Tourism Company, Arab Airport Commercial Services Company, Al Musafer Travel and Tourism Company, and Farsan Travel and Tourism Company.
A smoother visitor journey from planning to experience
The memorandums of understanding seek to establish joint cooperation frameworks with an elite group of travel and tourism service providers, thus contributing to the development of more integrated and flexible solutions for the visitor’s journey. This journey begins from the planning and reservation stage, through travel and arrival arrangements, all the way to enjoying the experiences of Qiddiya in a smoother and more efficient manner.
Through these partnerships, Qiddiya will benefit from the specialized expertise and diverse commercial channels of these companies in the fields of travel, reservations, and tourism programs, which supports easy access for visitors and enhances the city’s presence on the map of leading tourist and entertainment destinations locally and internationally.
“Spirit of Play” greets the world
Commenting on this step, Ross McAuley, General Manager of the Spirit of Play Executive Office, said: “Joining new partners in the travel sector represents an important step in our journey towards global leadership. Qiddiya, as the global ambassador for the concept of play, offers an unprecedented mix of sports, entertainment and culture, and we are committed to expanding the tourism horizons of the Kingdom and welcoming our visitors from different parts of the world.”
Of particular importance to Arab tourists and investors
These agreements carry important implications for Arab tourists and investors alike. For the visitor coming from the Gulf countries or the Arab world, partnerships with travel companies with a wide regional presence such as “Almosafer” and “Fursan” mean that access to Qiddiya experiences has become easier, with the possibility of booking through familiar platforms and packages specifically designed to suit the needs of Gulf families.
As for the Arab investor, the expansion of the network of partnerships in the travel sector reflects maturity in the destination’s operating model, and enhances confidence in Qiddiya’s readiness to receive qualitative tourist flows from the region and the world. These partnerships also open the door to additional business cooperation opportunities in the fields of hospitality and related tourism services, thus strengthening Qiddiya’s position as a rising economic and tourism center in the heart of the Arabian Peninsula.
