Riyadh - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Red Sea Authority launched its awareness campaign, “Deeper Than You See,” with the aim of introducing the regulatory and legislative system for marine and navigational tourism activities.

The campaign reviews the frameworks, regulations, and licenses approved in accordance with international standards to ensure the safety of beneficiaries and the quality of experiences. Coverage includes organizing cruise ships, yachts, boats, marinas, and beaches, with continuous field compliance with operational reality.

A balance between development and environmental sustainability

The campaign seeks to establish the principle of environmental sustainability to protect coral reefs and sensitive marine habitats, ensuring the continuation of tourism activities for future generations.

The Authority works to achieve a balance between the growth of the sector and the preservation of the natural components of the Red Sea, in cooperation and integration with partners in the government and private sectors and developers to diversify the national economy within the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Implications for investment and the economy of marine tourism

Stable regulatory frameworks contribute to attracting quality investments and facilitating developer procedures in coastal tourism projects.

Organizing navigation and recreational activities also helps stimulate travel and hospitality, raise the quality of services at marinas, and enhance the international competitiveness of the Saudi coast as a world-leading tourist destination.
