Venice - Italy
The 83rd Venice International Film Festival has entered its second day on the island of Lido, returning the Italian city to the forefront of cultural tourism until September 12, 2026. The event brings together world premieres and meetings with filmmakers, in addition to its competitions that attract actors, directors, critics and audiences from several countries. The festival, organized by the La Biennale di Venezia Foundation, is the oldest international film festival and one of the most prominent annual stations in the film industry.

Renewed confidence in the future of cinema

In his presentation of the session, Alberto Barbera, the artistic director of the festival, expressed his optimism about what the selected films hold, stressing that cinema will remain a space that rarely disappoints expectations, and a source of passion that drives the audience to believe in its future. His statement sums up the festival's message as a platform for art, dialogue, and a constantly renewed industry.

An opportunity for the Arab traveler

For Arab tourists, the festival provides an additional reason to visit Venice apart from its traditional tours. Lido shows can be combined with city landmarks and lagoon islands. It is recommended to book tickets, accommodation and sea transportation early, especially with the high demand during the days of major shows, while industry meetings represent an opportunity for Arab producers and investors to build partnerships and access international markets.
