Riyadh - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The Diriyah Biennale Foundation announced the launch of a new package of monthly cultural programs and events in the Jax neighbourhood, officially launching in mid-September 2026, and including between six and eight specific events per month.

This strategic step comes with the aim of providing sustainable interactive spaces for learning and dialogue and attracting the public and those interested in artistic affairs beyond the time periods of the official biennale sessions, by presenting an integrated package of specialized workshops, dialogue sessions, film screenings, and performance programs that bring together an elite group of artists, researchers, and the general public in a lively and inspiring creative environment.

A thoughtful coincidence with the Creativity Summit and international art exhibitions

The agenda includes the return of the “Cultural Sideburns” series and manual welding and photography techniques workshops in September, to coincide in October with the Creativity Summit being held in the Jax neighborhood with the participation of prominent artistic leaders from the Saudi Museum of Contemporary Art and international auction houses.
The program also witnesses the launch of a documentary book that celebrates the culinary arts, followed in November by specialized publishing and printing events, led by the third session of the Art Book Fair, intensive courses in experimental printing techniques, and literary publications that celebrate Saudi cities, which enhances the exchange of creative experiences and supports paths of multicultural artistic dialogue.

Reflections on cultural tourism and hospitality chains in Diriyah

These ongoing programs play a fundamental role in activating the cultural and exploratory tourism paths in the historic Diriyah region, by transforming the Jax neighborhood into a vibrant tourist attraction center that receives thousands of visitors and regional and international artistic delegations throughout the year.

This entertainment movement contributes to raising hotel occupancy rates within the accommodation facilities and neighboring heritage guest houses, revitalizing the sectors of fine restaurants, transportation services and art stores, as well as enhancing the economic value of creative industries, and consolidating the Kingdom’s position as a leading destination that embraces exhibition tourism and sustainable art forums in accordance with the highest international standards.
