Dubai - UAE
Flydubai has launched its regular daily flights to the city of Pokhara in Nepal, making it the first national carrier to operate international flights to this city, and its second destination in Nepal after the capital, Kathmandu. The carrier's inaugural flight, which departed from Terminal 3 of Dubai Airport, landed at Pokhara Airport, where it was greeted with traditional water cannons, thus establishing the first direct air link linking Dubai and western Nepal.

Pokhara...the gateway to western Nepal and a nature destination

Pokhara represents a qualitative addition to the Flydubai network in South Asia, as it is considered the third largest city in Nepal and one of the most prominent mountain tourism destinations in the world, thanks to its location near the Annapurna mountain range and the famous Fewa Lake, which makes it a favorite stop for lovers of nature trips, adventures and mountain hiking sports, and a main starting base for discovering the west of the country.

Direct connection serving travelers and trade
The new line enhances the options of travelers between the Emirates and the Gulf region on the one hand, and the cities of western Nepal on the other hand, through a direct flight that eliminates the need for indirect flights and the associated time and cost. It also serves the Nepalese communities working in the Emirates and the Gulf, and supports the movement of trade and tourism between the two countries.

What does the new line mean for Arab tourists and investors?

The direct air link opens a new door for Arab tourists to discover a mountain destination at competitive prices, with the possibility of integrating Pokhara into tourism programs that combine the Emirates and Nepal, especially for lovers of nature, mountain hiking, and hospitalization in resorts overlooking the Himalayas. As for the Arab investor, improving air connectivity increases the attractiveness of investment in hotels, mountain resorts, adventure and hospitality services in western Nepal, and opens opportunities in the small shipping sectors and logistics services associated with regular daily flights.
