Abu Dhabi - UAE

Abu Dhabi tourism this week does not start from the beach or the museum, but from a conference hall.

This week, the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi, is witnessing a remarkable tourism momentum led by business tourism and international events, with the launch of the 15th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice at the ADNEC Center. The event attracts between 3 and 5 thousand participants from more than 97 countries until the first week of October, turning conference halls into a direct engine for the hotel sector, airlines, restaurants, and local transportation.

Integrated infrastructure

The international conference extends over an area exceeding 30,300 square meters, an increase of 31% over the previous session, hosting more than 200 side meetings and 15 high-level events. This movement is complemented by the presence of about 1,800 hotel rooms just steps away from the centre, and its proximity to Abu Dhabi International Airport in about 15 minutes, which highlights the capital’s ability to integrate the events system with its competitive tourism product, within a huge agenda that includes hosting more than 290 events in the second half of the year.

An official vision to consolidate the position
In this context, His Excellency Abdullah Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, UAE Minister of Justice, stressed the country’s high readiness and exceptional status, noting that “

Hosting this international conference confirms the UAE’s position as a global center for dialogue and joint action, and reflects its commitment to deepening international partnerships and exchanging experiences.”

This statement translates the government's vision of investing in major conferences to enhance the city's presence on the economic and tourism map.

Promising opportunities for the Arab investor and visitor

This momentum represents a qualitative investment and tourism opportunity in the region. Event tourism allows the Arab investor to explore promising opportunities in the fields of hospitality, logistics, and event management in a safe and stable operating environment. It also gives the Arab visitor a unique experience that combines finishing work and enjoying the international cultural and entertainment destinations in the capital without the need for multiple trips.
