Amman - Jordan
The activities of the twenty-fifth session of the Amman International Book Fair will begin on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the Jordan International Exhibition Center in Mecca Mall, and will continue until next October 3. This edition carries the slogan “Narrative...the Earth and Man,” and comes to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the exhibition’s launch.

Syria is at the forefront

The Syrian Arab Republic is the guest of honor at the current session, in a step that reflects the depth of cultural and historical relations between the two countries. Jordanian Minister of Culture Mustafa Al-Rawashdeh said that choosing Syria “adds an important cultural dimension to the course, given its ancient cultural history, creativity and rich heritage.”

About 40 guests from Syria, Palestine, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon, the Sultanate of Oman and China are scheduled to participate in the exhibition activities.

A rich cultural program

The cultural program includes about 60 activities, including intellectual, critical, and philosophical seminars, poetry and story evenings, dialogue sessions, and workshops. The activities are distributed between the seminar hall in the exhibition, the Royal Cultural Center, and the National Library Department.
The cultural program opens with a symposium on “The Role of Documentation in the Jordanian Narrative,” with the participation of an elite group of academics, followed by a symposium entitled “Stories of the Heroics of the Arab Army.”

What awaits the Arab visitor?

For the Arab visitor, the exhibition represents an opportunity to discover the latest publications from more than 400 Jordanian, Arab and international publishing houses representing 22 countries. He will also be able to attend evenings of classical and Nabati poetry with the participation of poets from several Arab countries, in addition to book signing parties and the launch of new publications.

As for the investor or worker in the publishing sector, the exhibition provides a platform for meeting Arab publishers, writers, and cultural institutions, with opportunities to conclude publishing and cooperation contracts. Exhibition director Jabr Abu Fares expected the number of visitors to exceed half a million visitors during the exhibition days.
