Riyadh - Saudi Arabia

Hotel & Hospitality Expo Saudi Arabia 2026 concluded its work yesterday, Thursday, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, after three days that brought together developers, hotel operators, suppliers, designers, food, beverage and technology experts, in a platform aimed at linking the needs of the accelerating Saudi market with regional and international solutions and expertise.

Investment first...then operation

The first day focused on market prospects, investment, and Saudi identity in hospitality, before the second day moved to operation, technology, and commercial performance. The final day puts food, beverages, and the guest experience at the forefront. These themes reflect the shift in discussion from simply building new hotels to how to operate them efficiently and achieve sustainable value for the investor and visitor alike.

Agreements turn into actions
The exhibition witnessed the signing of memorandums of understanding, most notably a five-year agreement between Defaf Hospitality and RMR Company to support the local supply of hotel room supplies made in Saudi Arabia, in addition to an agreement between Star and Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts Riyadh that focuses on developing and empowering Saudi competencies in human resources and hotel leadership.

Coffee is turning into an industry

One of the most prominent additions to the 2026 edition is the launch of CoffeeZone, in conjunction with SaudiHost and the Saudi Barista Championship, which expanded the scope of the exhibition to include cafes, roasters, coffee preparation technologies and associated supply chains.

What does this mean for the Arab investor and tourist?

For the Arab investor, the expansion of the Saudi hospitality sector opens opportunities extending from operation and supply to design, technology, and food and beverage. As for tourists, the most important gain is a market moving towards more diverse hotels and more sophisticated accommodation, dining and service experiences, with an increasing level of competition between local and international operators and brands.
