The UAE enters the month of October 2026 with an exceptional tourism and cultural agenda that includes a wide range of major exhibitions and festivals that enhance the country’s position as a world-leading tourist destination. The capital, Abu Dhabi, will host “World Food Week 2026” at the ADNEC Center from October 6 to 8, including interactive platforms for consumers and the World Food Security Summit, followed by the launch of the 23rd session of the “Abu Dhabi Festival” on October 10 with a rich musical and operatic programme. The capital culminates its activities with the launch of the “Sheikh Zayed Festival” season on October 30, which extends over 136 days, providing families and tourists with heritage experiences, international popular shows, and huge celebrations that attract visitors from all over the world.
Momentum of international conferences and business sustainability in Dubai and Sharjah
Dubai is witnessing the influx of business tourism and international conference (MICE) delegations, with the Dubai World Trade Center hosting the “Global Forum for Sustainability and Social Responsibility” on October 12 and 13, in addition to the 15th session of the “Paperworld Middle East” exhibition, and the “World Green Economy Summit” with the participation of 135 international speakers and officials; Sharjah keeps pace with this movement by organizing the “Sharjah Investment Forum” with the attendance of more than 10,000 participants from 60 countries, in addition to the “International Forum for Arabic Teachers.” These forums contribute to filling the hotel capacity and revitalizing the hospitality, shopping, and entertainment sectors, allowing entrepreneurs and international participants the opportunity to enjoy the urban tourism experiences for which the country is famous.
Diversity of sports and entertainment enriches visitors' experiences in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah
The vibrant tourism movement extends to various emirates, as Ras Al Khaimah will host the second edition of the “Car and Bicycle Exhibition 2026” between October 16 and 18, with the participation of 60 international companies to showcase modern driving technologies. Fujairah will host the West Asian Cup for Bow and Arrow competitions from October 15 to 22, attracting elite athletes and accompanying delegations. This well-studied geographical distribution reflects a unique integration in the UAE tourism system, as it combines adventure tourism, sports, heritage, and shopping, which stimulates domestic tourism and raises regional and international travel flows towards various tourist destinations within the country throughout the fall season.
