Abu Dhabi - UAE
Etihad Airways intends to increase the frequency of its flights between the capital, Abu Dhabi, and the city of Sydney to two flights per day, starting December 15, 2026, coinciding with the start of the summer holiday season in Australia, by adding four new weekly flights to complete the double daily service with 14 flights per week.

Capacity and a luxurious travel experience

The national carrier of the Emirates will operate all flights of this strategic route using its modern Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, giving passengers more than 5,000 seats per week in each direction. The plane provides an advanced travel experience that includes business class seats with sliding doors equipped with modern screens and wireless charging technologies, in addition to economy class seats equipped with 4K screens and fast wireless connection with audio clips.

Extensive air connectivity across the capital
The dual flight timings allow flexible and convenient connecting options for passengers from Australia for same-day access to Etihad's growing network in Europe and the Middle East, including key destinations such as London, Paris, Frankfurt, and Milan. The service also opens broader horizons for travelers heading to Australia with seamless connectivity with regional destinations in Australia and New Zealand via partner lines.

Promising investment and tourism opportunities for the Arab traveler

This air expansion constitutes a vital bridge that serves the movement of tourism and investment coming from the Gulf region and the Middle East towards the Australian continent, and vice versa. It gives Arab tourists great flexibility to organize trips that combine exploring the capital, Abu Dhabi, and its cultural attractions through the free hotel stopover program, and heading to the Australian beaches and markets. On the investment level, the double daily line facilitates the movement of businessmen and the exchange of commercial opportunities between the Arab and Australian markets in the fields of trade, hospitality and real estate.
