Hatta Welcomes Adventure Seekers with Free Paddleboarding and Yoga Amid Dubai’s Hajar Mountains

Hatta Dam hosts two days of water sports and wellness activities as part of Dubai Fitness Challenge 2026, following an event that attracted more than 5,000 participants last year.

Dubai’s mountain destination of Hatta is hosting Dubai Stand Up Paddle on November 7–8, 2026, bringing together water sports and yoga against the dramatic backdrop of Hatta Dam and the Hajar Mountains.

Held as part of the tenth edition of Dubai Fitness Challenge, the free event runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., offering individuals and families of different abilities an opportunity to combine physical activity with the region’s natural scenery.

The programme features 45-minute guided stand-up paddleboarding sessions, with boards, paddles, life jackets and safety instructions provided.

Visitors can also enjoy kayaking in single or double kayaks, alongside recreational water-based challenges.

The 2026 edition introduces 30-minute paddleboard yoga sessions for participants aged ten and above, as well as adapted activities for people of determination, supported by trained instructors.

The event follows a successful 2025 edition, which attracted more than 5,000 participants over two days, according to the Government of Dubai Media Office.

Dubai Stand Up Paddle is among the flagship activities of Dubai Fitness Challenge, running from October 31 to November 29, 2026.

The citywide initiative encourages residents and visitors to complete 30 minutes of physical activity every day for 30 consecutive days.

Organisers have arranged complimentary return shuttle buses between Dubai World Trade Centre and Hatta, subject to advance booking arrangements, alongside local transportation services to facilitate access to the activity areas.

The event’s official website indicates that advance registration has closed, while participation in certain kayaking activities remains subject to availability and capacity.

Hatta offers an appealing example of active tourism, combining mountain landscapes, outdoor adventures and family-friendly experiences beyond Dubai’s traditional urban attractions.
