Etihad Airways

Changes affect Frankfurt, Munich and Düsseldorf from August 21, while existing scheduled services remain unchanged.

Abu Dhabi – United Arab Emirates – Al Rehla

Etihad Airways has removed three additional daily flights planned between Abu Dhabi and the German cities of Frankfurt, Munich and Düsseldorf from August 21, 2027, marking another adjustment to its future flight schedule following an earlier postponement of the planned increases from 2026.

According to an update published by aviation schedule specialist AeroRoutes on November 5, 2026, the airline has withdrawn the additional planned services while maintaining its baseline flight frequencies.

Frankfurt and Munich Retain Two Daily Flights

For Frankfurt, Etihad has removed a planned third daily service operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, leaving the route scheduled for two daily flights.

Munich has also seen its proposed third daily flight, planned with an Airbus A321LR, removed from the schedule, maintaining two daily services.

Meanwhile, Düsseldorf's planned second daily flight, also scheduled to use an Airbus A321LR, has been withdrawn, leaving one daily service.

Earlier Postponement, No Official Explanation

Etihad had previously rescheduled these frequency increases in September 2026, moving their planned introduction from 2026 to late August 2027.

The latest schedule update provides no official explanation for the changes. The withdrawal of the additional flights does not mean existing services have been cancelled or that Etihad is withdrawing from any of the three German destinations.

Al Rehla Travel Insight

For travellers planning trips to Germany in summer 2027, the adjustment means fewer anticipated flight options compared with the previously announced schedule, rather than a reduction in existing operations.

Passengers are advised to check flight availability and schedules directly with Etihad Airways before booking, as future services remain subject to further adjustments.
