Rome - Italy

What if you started your vacation in September, and didn't return home until September of the following year? This is exactly what awaits the passengers of the exceptional Regatta cruise that departed from the port of Civitavecchia near Rome, on a trip around the world that will last 371 days.

220 ports in one trip

On board the Regatta, passengers will cross wide parts of the world, stopping at 220 ports in 62 countries. The map includes destinations extending from Santorini, Naples and Copenhagen in Europe, to Cape Town and Zanzibar in Africa, Hiroshima, Jeju, Colombo and Male in Asia, all the way to Alaska and the Amazon in the Americas.

Houseboat for over a year

The ship includes 348 cabins and its capacity reaches about 700 passengers, which means that whoever books the full trip does not just buy a vacation, but practically moves to live in a houseboat for more than a year.

The published cost for the full trip starts at high levels; Euronews reported a price of approximately 65,700 euros per person, while prices vary according to the category of accommodation and reservation.

New record
The trip exceeds the previous record associated with Royal Caribbean's Ultimate World Cruise, which lasted 274 nights, by nearly 100 days.

The strangest thing is that the idea will not stop here; Another 367-day global cruise departing from Australia next year is already being marketed.

The question here is not: Do you dream of traveling around the world? Rather: Can you stay on vacation for more than a year?
