Dubai - UAE
Dubai is turning into a major meeting point for capital seeking promising investment opportunities in the hospitality sector, with the launch of the Future of Hospitality Summit 2026 (FHS World) in Madinat Jumeirah, with wide participation that includes major investors, real estate developers, hotel owners and operators, government officials, and tourism industry leaders from the region and the world. The summit continues until October 1 under the slogan “Reinvesting in Our Future,” going beyond the traditional framework of sessions to place investment, deals, and return on capital at the heart of the discussion about the next phase of growth for hotels, resorts and tourism assets.
Money is looking for its next destination in more competitive markets
The list of participants includes prominent investment names from the Gulf and international markets, including Al-Futtaim Properties, Deyaar Development, Katara Hospitality, Jabal Omar Development, and First Abu Dhabi Bank, in addition to investment, asset management and private capital companies. Here a fundamental question arises that goes beyond just launching a new hotel: Which cities and projects will succeed in attracting this money? With the great acceleration in the development of tourist destinations in the region, capital is no longer satisfied with the distinguished geographical location or the international hotel brand, but rather is looking for projects capable of achieving sustainable returns in a market that is witnessing high competition.
Tourism is at the heart of the “new economy” of the UAE
His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism, opened the main program of the summit with a speech highlighting the sector’s position in the economic equation, where he stated:
“Tourism is no longer a separate sector from real estate, investment, and technology, but rather part of a broader system to attract capital, develop destinations, and create new tourism products.”
This was part of his participation in a session titled “The Engine of Growth in the UAE: Tourism, Investment and the New Economy.”
Investing in a changing Middle East...a real platform for concluding deals
The summit addresses regional transformations through a high-level session entitled “Beyond the Headlines: Investing in a Changing Middle East,” with the participation of the Investment Corporation of Dubai. Over the course of three days, the summit discusses multiple issues, including investment, real estate, technology, sustainability, the workforce, and modern tourism trends, with the participation of more than 150 sector leaders. The importance of this event is enhanced by the presence of the “FHS Dealroom” space dedicated to displaying real estate and investment opportunities, in addition to the “Investors Lounge” and direct meetings that connect decision makers with the opportunities presented, making the summit a real market for hotel capital searching for financing, partners and upcoming deals.
The concept of the hotel is changing... strategic dimensions for the Arab investor and tourist
The investment landscape is expanding to include branded residences, hospitality-related residential assets, and mixed-use projects, in conjunction with the use of artificial intelligence and revenue management techniques to raise profitability and operational efficiency, bringing the investment question to: How much does the asset earn? How can it be operated and retain its value?
These transformations open promising horizons for the Arab investor to seize innovative investment opportunities that achieve lucrative and sustainable returns. On the other hand, these qualitative partnerships and projects reflect positively on Arab tourists, by providing modern and diverse accommodation options that combine luxury and smart solutions, which enhances the quality of the tourism experience and raises the level of hotel services in the region.
